In the first place it was desirabe that all Licenses should
on
the
same
exfire day and to obviate
the hardship which would ensue to parties desirous of entering into business by waiting for such day it is now by Section II provided that Licenses may be granted for any
Perioch lef than
a year
in order that such Licenses
shall always expire on the 300
Nrember. When Licenses for a
ferind less than
one
year
are
hayable
granted a proportionall amount
of the ordinary sum
a
year
shall be required,
bout 10 per cent is to be added.

Section 3 adopts, the principle
which has been found to work
is no
well elsewhere, and there doubt that the same will be attended here with good results. The Schedules
are rendered
necessary by the variations in the present form, the Adinance Sr 11 of 1844.
